Job description

BU Powder Coatings is looking for a

Customer Operations Manager
North Europe (m/f/d)

As part of the BU Business Operations team you will be responsible for the management of the regional customer service operations in North Europe (Germany, Nordics, UK&I, Benelux).

Key Accountabilities

Customer Service Management
  • Ensure the daily customer service activities operate to expected standards
  • Ensure the customer operations business processes are defined, documented and understood by the teams
  • Ensure that country and customer-specific service-level agreements are in place and maintained
  • Actively participate in and support new system & tools implementations such as SAP
  • Represent the region in regional and global customer service improvement initiatives
  • Participate in the regional commercial management team, with dotted line to the Regional Commercial Director
  • Active work with other functions, e.g. supply chain management, sales, R&D, quality etc.

People Management

  • Management of customer service teams within North Europe including recruitment, training & development, coaching and disciplinary topics
  • Ensure job profiles are in place, setting objectives for team members, reviewing development and providing clear, open and constructive feedback on performance combined with the appropriate actions
  • Create an open environment in the team
  • Strengthen talent pipeline by developing talents, and promoting retention

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in a supply chain or
    business-related subject
  • 5-8 years work experience in commercial roles, sales and customer services
  • Solid knowledge of a B2B industry environment, preferably in Paints & Coatings or Automotive industry
  • Knowledge of E-Commerce topics desirable
  • Experience in managing an international team
  • Effective project and program management skills
  • Ability to drive effective change management to build organizational capabilities
  • Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills
  • Problem solving and results orientation mindset
  • Effective, influencing communication and engagement skills with various contact groups
  • Good SAP and MS Office knowledge
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal skills in English, further language skills e.g. in German would be a plus
  • European Business travels ~2-3 days per month average
