At atingi, our vision is a world in which digital learning is inclusive, accessible, relevant, safe and secure for all. Yet, in developing and emerging countries, access to lifelong learning opportunities is scarce and remains a challenge, particularly for disadvantaged groups with diverse educational backgrounds.
To address this gap, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development funds atingi, a Moodle based Learning Management System (LMS). Our aim is to ensure that innovative digital knowledge products and learning opportunities reach people in the partner countries across the globe, and on an open and broad scale.
For our operations in Germany/Bonn, we are looking for a new and experienced team member to manage and administer our LMS and integrated technologies, in order to help us satisfy our learners' expectations and to scale massively. Management of the learning management system (LMS) including system configuration, deployment, user roles, data security and other general administrative support for atingi partners and learners
Liaison with and manage external vendors and service providers to maintain a competitive product that exceeds customer expectations
Assist in technical support to partners, contributing to the creation, documentation, and training of LMS system standards, policies, and procedures
Support of implementation of new features, e.g. Blockchain, Artificial intelligence or Virtual Reality into the 'atingi learning environment' to improve the learner experience
Train other team members on key system functionality and administrative tasks
Pro-actively contribute to process optimization efforts within the team, in particular on topics like product requirements, documentation and of course support

Completed university-degree with a focus on computer science or IT administration, or related disciplines with a strong affinity to working with IT systems with a convincing track record in this field
Several years of relevant professional experience, preferably gained abroad, in system administration, preferably with Moodle or other learning management systems, an understanding of related technologies such as Application Programming Interface and Single Sign-on is strongly preferred
Proven understanding of technology trends in the software and eLearning industries and the ability to tell the viable from the buzz
Proven experience in agile software development methodologies, release management and in customer or partner facing roles
Practical experience in tendering and requirement engineering, ideally in the public sector, is of advantage
Knowledge or experience in international cooperation/international relations, education or social sciences are of advantage, as is experience in our GIZ partner countries
Experiences working in a team in agile processes like Kanban, interpersonal and intercultural competence and high communication skills
Business fluent in German and English
