You bear the main responsibility for our individual lab analysis platform in terms of software development based on Scrum. Currently, the platform is being developed to automate the quantitative analysis of patients' blood in terms of Covid-19 immunity. Moreover, it is planned to use it for other purposes in the future.

Your role:

• As a Product Owner you are part of a cross-functional agile Scrum Team of software developers and verification engineers. Thereby, you define a vision for our software used in medical devices and research systems and contribute to continuously improve our agile development processes.
• You are responsible for the translation of customer needs and product requirements into software features, for conceptualizing epics and stories as well as for the specification of software requirements.
• You manage the software product backlog, aligning priorities with stakeholders from Marketing, System Project Management and other development functions. Moreover, you keep close contact to your engineering colleagues.
• You define software release plans and roadmaps and are responsible for delivering releases in scope, cost, time and quality.
• As the voice of our Software Development Team, you present the development progress to the system project and senior management.

Your profile:

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, biotechnology, bioinformatics or similar and have various years of professional experience. Alternatively, you have completed an apprenticeship and a relevant professional track record.
• Agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum are not just buzzwords for you. You have an agile mindset, are solution-oriented, proactive, self-organized, pragmatic, and prefer working in an international environment.
• In addition, you have know-how in at least one relevant programming language, such as C++, JAVA SE, C# or comparable languages.
• Ideally, you have industry experience in the biotechnology sector or in a lab environment. Other industry experience is also very welcome, such as in pharmaceuticals, automotive, food industry, in the hospital sector or similar. Experience in a regulated environment would be a great plus.
• Your proficient language skills in English and preferably in German round off your profile.

The vacancy can be filled on a full or part-time basis (at least 30 hours per week).
