as of now - fulltime - in Cologne, Germany

To support our team, we are looking for YOU - a versatile receptionist / F&B expert who knows as Generalist both areas and loves to work in it.

We are also happy to consider applications from receptionists, receptionists, guest relation managers, service staff, hosts, entertainers, sales staff, communication talents or career changers who enjoy the hotel business and dealing with guests.

YOUR JOB

As receptionist you are responsible for::

the figurehead of a&o: our Front Desk is your territory.
responsible for the check-in and check-out of our guests behind the reception or in the lobby as Guest Relation Officer
To make our guests feel comfortable at a&o hostels, you take care of their needs and provide tourist information
as a shift leader, you take responsibility for ensuring that the shift runs smoothly
At the bar you serve hot and cold drinks and snacks, and prepare snacks and cocktails
As F&B expert you are responsible for:

Setting up and looking after the breakfast buffet are part of your duties
You plan and implement the quality and HACCP standards in the kitchen and bar.
You control the food storage and the stock of goods
You order, purchase and store the goods on delivery
You take care of the inventory for the kitchen and bar
As shift leader, you take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the shift

YOUR PROFILE

You have experience or a completed apprenticeship in the hotel industry or tourism
Of course, you are driven by a great sense of responsibility for the tasks assigned to you.
You enjoy dealing with guests - and you show it, regardless of the time of day or night
A high degree of commitment and independence as well as the ability to work in a team are a matter of course for you.
You have a B2-level knowledge of German and English - of course, we would be happy to hear any other language you speak.
