Job Description:

The Internship will be performed in Cables Product Line a Vertically Integrated line of +/- 30 employees. You will report to the Product Line Manager and will work closely with the Cable shop Team as well as the Technical Services Department.

The armoring of our cables is performed on a tubular rotor machine dated from the 80's. Over the years internally designed tooling and processes have been produced to ease/speed-up the format change from one cable type to another.

This internship project takes part of our ergonomic action plan. The objective will be to design and implement equipment/process changes to gain in efficiency and to improve working conditions.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

You will drive this project from the project definition to the implementation of an approved and validated solution, with the support of you manager and colleagues.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Design thinking: based on the user's experience and ergonomic analysis, identify project requirements
  • Design and implement a universal head tooling, in collaboration with the support services
  • Efficiency and ergonomic continuous improvement: identification and implementation of equipment and or processes

The intern shall take into account the development and procurement time in order to ensure the solutions could be sufficiently tested prior the end of the internship to guarantee the project success and calculation of the return on investment.
