Job description

Reporting to the UK Marine Services Manager, the post holder will lead marine operational activities for the key client product families including Marine Control, Radar Early Warning System (REWS), vessel chartering, vessel sharing and efficiency initiatives and will contribute to Marine project activities. The Marine Operations Manager will manage these business streams, identifying and progressing opportunities for service delivery improvements, working with Clients to understand and deliver their requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
* Contribute to long term vessel strategy for vessel sharing
* Work with colleagues to ensure a shared awareness of the clients broader service offerings
* Ensure that Senior Management are kept appraised of opportunities and challenges
* Monitor marine operational performance and report monthly on revenue and EBIT projections
* Communicate both formal and informal feedback and intelligence to stakeholders
* Maintain a high standard of strategic knowledge of industry developments and best practice, providing recommendations and driving actions to ensure compliance
* Work with the business to continuously monitor and review processes, seeking and actioning opportunities for improvement to service delivery, efficiency, quality and cost
* Effective day to day management of P&L
* Provide effective leadership, management for all UK areas of marine responsibility
* Ensure the effective management and allocation of workload to achieve service delivery

Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours):
* Proven track record of management experience gained within the oil & gas industry or similar
* Commercially astute with excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to network, influence and tailor your engagement style to meet the needs of your audience
* Assertive, with high emotional intelligence, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a fair and consistent approach with experience leading and managing high-performing teams
* Solutions based analytical and strategic thinker, with the ability to work effectively on multiple activities setting priority levels and service delivery
* Accustomed to measuring, reporting, and presenting information
* Numeric with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite
* The ability to consistently deliver high quality output whilst working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:
* Qualified to Degree level in a relevant subject or extensive equivalent industry experience
* Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies:
* Awareness of existing company agreements with external organisations
* Experience of budget control
* IOSH Managing safely
* Experience in a related technical role
