Job description

Our client is looking for a Materials Administrator for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen

ROLE

To provide support and assistance to the team in Tullos with regards to daily coordination and administration tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration:

  • Maintain ordered filing records to support the continued use of site plan, equipment and vehicles.
  • Responsibility for organising and archiving files and recording effectively for future reference.
  • Assist the department with any general administration duties and provide holiday cover.
  • Pro-actively deal with incoming correspondence/enquiries e.g. telephone calls, emails and mail and responding/directing as appropriate.

Stores Duties:

  • Carry out stores administration and any other relevant administration duties as required by management.
  • Coordinate the stock control within the store.
  • Organise the store in an appropriate, management and safe fashion.
  • Maintain good stores housekeeping.
  • Deputise for Stores Controller for sickness/holiday cover.

Import/Export:

  • Support in client logistics interface.
  • Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs/client requirements, packing specifications and compliance with overseas countries regulations.
  • Coordinate equipment certification in line with Company and Client requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of shipping manifest and documentation.
  • Identify and assign commodity code classification as necessary.
  • Ensure that import/export logs are maintained.
  • In respect of international shipments, ensure all customs documentation is organised in an accurate and timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • 5 Standard Grades or equivalent
  • Proven track record in similar role
  • Experience of maintaining filing systems
  • Experience of import/export
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment.
  • UK/EU Customs regulations.

Preferred

  • HNC/HND in administration
  • Experience of working in the waste management industry
  • Awareness of waste management issues.
