Offshore Wind Consenting Lead

Job description

We are looking for a high calibre individual to join our expanding offshore wind consenting team to support this portfolio of Projects. We are seeking an experienced candidate who will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to secure consent for nationally significant Projects.

Initial activities will be as follows with scope to expand to other areas:

Identification of consenting risks and development of mitigation plans for key risks for design, construction, operation and decommissioning.
Manage interface with Project teams to identify key design decisions to support consenting process.
Provide project management and technical environmental support for the following in relation to an offshore wind project in Scotland:
Site selection project for onshore and offshore cable routes and onshore infrastructure for offshore wind project.
Lead kick off of main ESIA consultant contract and early stage activities including consenting strategy, project execution plans and stakeholder consultation plans.

Lead consenting activities for key survey campaigns:

Management of contractors to deliver bird and marine mammal surveys.
Lead on the development of scope for offshore environmental surveys (array and cable route).
Liaise with key stakeholders to agree on proposed survey scope and methodologies.
Licence applications for offshore surveys (including geophysical and environmental, and metocean and FliDAR).

Key Criteria

Extensive experience in leading offshore wind consenting activities in Scotland and England.
Experience in stakeholder management
Excellent and demonstrable interpersonal, communication (oral and written), leadership and team-working skills.
Proven self-starter with the ability to work across project teams and lead through influence.
