Project Co-ordinator

Job description

Our client is looking for a Project Co-ordinator for a permanent position, located in Insch, Aberdeenshire

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the workshop production and efficiency of the Project team to ensure all projects are manufactured within quoted and budgeted man hours.
• Identify potential shortfall in workshop capacity and communicate to management.
• Suggest overtime requirements with management as required.
• Update each job status on the register throughout manufacture to allow the team to have visibility of progress.
• Have an understanding of work in the pipeline to assist in forward production planning.
• Manage the transport of sub contracted work to and from the yard.

Commercial:

• Work with the team to ensure that each job is running on target and within budget.
• Develop relationships with our key suppliers to ensure the best price of goods is always received.
• Sign off daily time sheets for all operatives all working hours and relevant job numbers.
• Review non-productive time prior to submission.
• Complete stock audits as requested. Identify any stock requirements and communicate to management.
• Ensure assets are secure and stored in relevant workshop areas, ensuring any repairs to plant work is planned and executed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read fabrication drawings (desired)
• Experience of co-ordinating contract works
• Computer literate
• Have strong leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to prioritise and direct plans
