Job description

Duties and responsibilities:

Assisting and relieving the Rig Manager in the management of the rig.

Ensure the rig is operated in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, quality systems, maintenance programs, contractual commitments and budget.

Responsible for and to follow up:

  • Rig Performance Process
  • Riser, tubular and drilling equipment management and logistics ensuring valid certification
  • Manage rig move preparations and facilitate rig move meetings
  • Manage the onshore logistics requirements for the rig
  • Attend Client meetings and follow up 3rd party requirements for the rig.
  • Ensure that operations are conducted according to contract.
  • Continuously develop, improve and strengthen the organisation along with performance of work.
  • Actively follow up on his/her own competence status in accordance with position and together with the supervisory plan for training activities required to close any competence gaps.

Education and skills:

3-5 years relevant management experience from the oil and gas industry

Have a valid level 4 IWCF certificate and stuck pipe course

Minimum Bachelors degree in a relevant subject; specific experience may be considered in lieu of this.

Good knowledge of MS Office applications

HP/HT experience is an advantage
