Job description

IT Graduate or Desktop Support - 6 months Contract - Aberdeen

Essential:- For non IT Graduates Windows 10, Networking, Switches, Routers, on boarding staff, validating password, ticketing system is ServiceNow.

For IT Graduates - To have the drive to want to work within IT & happy to learn & train further.

Overall Purpose or Function of Position. Desktop Support is the second point of escalation for the resolution of customer PC related Incidents, requests or changes as per the established Service Level Agreements (SLA).

IT Graduate or Desktop Support Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Troubleshoot & resolve PC incidents, Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, & Change).

Staging of PCs. Hardware & software maintenance & support.

Asset management. Coordinate with Break/Fix vendor for hardware repair.

Assist & work closely with SSO on IT security issue & virus eradication effort.

Have a good understanding on the IT pricing.

Have a good understanding of the IT Processes & Procedures

Comply with IT standard processes & procedures.

Active participation in regular staff meetings as coordinated by Service Delivery manager

Maintain working area to professional standards.

Comply with QHSE & IT security policies

IT Graduate or Desktop Support Technical Skills Required:

- In depth knowledge of Microsoft PC applications.

- In-depth knowledge of PC hardware & software support.

- Ability to troubleshoot & resolve PC hardware & software incidents.

IT Graduate or Desktop Support Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years on-site support experience supporting multiple operating systems or fresh out of University Graduate

Experience working within an IT customer service focused environment.

IT Graduate or Desktop Support Additional general requirements:

Experience on an IT Service Desk a plus

Knowledge & experience in the use of Ticketing systems preferred

Ability to write technical support documentation a plus

Excellent customer service skills

Good interpersonal & presentation skills

Fluency in English

Willing to work flexible hours when appropriate

Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, & management.

After the first 3 months there will be on-call 1 weekend in 4

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
