Job description

My client, a PLC housing developer, is looking to hire a Deputy Site Manager for a flagship multi-phased scheme consisting of all traditional build homes & apartments in Wixhams, Bedford

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager with proven experience of working on similar schemes as part of a full production team.

Duties,

Deputy Site Manager
No2 whilst reporting in to the Contract Manager, whilst being responsible for a full site team
Responsible for their own phase of the scheme and responsible for potentially an Assistant Site Manager and a Trainee.
Inductions and toolbox talks
Chair subcontractor meetings to address any issues, site updates.
Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
Writing up of short term programmes
Managing the day to day operation from foundation to completion, and the critical paths for labour, materials and plant, including material lead times
Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes
Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to
Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
NHBC stage inspections
Ensuring any remedial work is completed prior to occupation
Ensuring customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on siteQualifications,

Previous Housing Development Experience, ideally traditional build
SMSTS
CSCS
