Job description
At AristoTots we believe all children deserve the very best start and early years education forms part of the journey. We are pleased to offer quality early education to children in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding villages. We encourage and support children from 0-5 years to play, learn, have fun and make friends in our enriching environment.
After 5 years in the role our current Nursery Manager is moving from childcare and therefore we will require a new Nursery Manager to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery and its staff, deliver high quality standards of care and education for all children, identify areas for development and implement new ideas and practice. You will be required to undertake the overall day to day management of the nursery.
The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and pro-active mindset with a positive attitude and have the ability to lead the team to form strong and supportive relationships with the parents, children and the team. Have a robust knowledge of the EYFS, strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children, and be ready to lead and manage team of staff.
Nursery Manager Duties:
- Delivering outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS
- Guiding team members on effective parent communication and parental partnerships
- Ensuring all aspects of the nursery operation is compliant with Ofsted and Human Resources
- Ensuring that each child's wellbeing is met and that they thrive in a safe environment
- Safeguarding all children in your care
What you will need:
-Minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (A level 5 or above woudl be an advantage)
-Leadership and management experience, in a childcare setting.
-Experience of working in a senior role within a nursery setting or centre working with children aged 0 to 5 years and their families.
-Leading a staff team, including supervision, work allocation, assessment or training and professional development
-A thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and relevant current legislation.
-Understanding of child protection processes, safeguarding and working with vulnerable children.
-Commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory working practice with children, families, colleagues and the community.
-Ability to inspire and develop the nursery team

-Willing to learn skills
-A warm, friendly personality
-An ability to cope under pressure and deal with difficult people
-Self-confident with strong interpersonal skills
-Excellent communication skills
-An ability to chase nursery fees

OTE £35,000 Plus
Skills & Qualifications:
DSL - Safeguarding Lead
Paediatric First Aid
Level 5 in early years would be an advantage
Leadership & management training would be beneficial
