One of the leading schools in Maidenhead is looking for a graduate to become part of their team. An ideal candidate would have a Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or relevant degree. You will be working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children with Learning Disabilities and Autism. All relevant prior experience will also be considered. This is a long term role providing a great opportunity to further your knowledge within a SEN setting, whilst providing essential mental health support. Children rage from 5-16 years, all who will benefit from an empathetic and encouraging individuals who want to make a difference in to those most vulnerable.

The school steps away from the more traditional approach of lesson structure, undertaking a more therapeutic approach, enabling the children to gain outside experiences. Prior relevant experience would be highly beneficial.

For recent graduates, this is a fabulous opportunity to gain extensive experience and work alongside a school based psychologist and therapist, through shadowing sessions and being mentored throughout. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring SEN teacher, educational psychologist or support worker.

A positive, enthusiastic individual who is able to bring prior knowledge and experience to the classroom is exactly what this school is looking for. The children at such school require a supportive teaching assistant who is open-minded and is able to adapt to different situations. With SEN widely varying, the children have many different needs, which should always be a priority. Suitable experience from working with either SEN children or adults is greatly beneficial. A minimum of Level 3 qualifications or equivalent is required, with a degree being most desirable.
