Could you help Mary*?

Mary is 80 years old and has started to struggle with little things that so many of us find simple. She might struggle to follow simple steps such as following a recipe when cooking a meal or sometimes forgetting to have a wash, she might also get muddled with peoples' names. However, she does love to sing, and music seems to always cheer her up and remind her of special memories. She can get lonely from time to time though, and she needs a bit more help round the house. Could you be the person to make a difference to Mary?

Benefits for you

• £10.80 - £12.50 per hour, plus 30p mileage.
• Alternate Weekend visits, including same hours as weekday.
• Award Winning Training.
• Morning & Evening visits - Mon to Fri 7am-10am- 5pm-9pm.
• Bank Holiday Rates at double daytime rate.
• We welcome applications from all age groups (No upper Limit) and previous occupations.

As a Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion, you will carefully be matched to older adults in your local community, supporting them to remain independent both in their own home and by keeping them active in the local community. We only do a minimum of 1-hour visits, so you are never rushed. You would always see the same clients too. This would include any of the following:

• Assisting with daily routine including mornings, lunchtimes, and evenings.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Taking clients out shopping or attending local groups, events, or appointments.
• Preparing meals and light household duties.
• Being someone, they can rely on.
