Cincom (UK) Ltd is looking for a software engineer to work in the core engineering team to enhance and further develop Cincom's CPQ product.DescriptionThe Software Engineer designs, modifies, develops, and implements applications for Cincom's CPQ6 solution. The role involves: collaborating on the definition of software development efforts, collecting requirements, developing code, creating documentation, and deploying a working system.Key Strategic ResponsibilitiesProduct Lifecycle Management: Consulted on, determining and executing each product stage from concept to development introduction to the end of its life and disposition and transitions between each stage; makes decisions regarding the criteria used and timing to move from stage to stage.New Product Innovation: Consulted on the identification and evaluation of novel solutions to existing/known problems and previously identified problems.Product Knowledge Transfer: Consulted on the provision of information regarding products- the problems it solves, the features and the markets it serves-to the Marketing, Sales, and Services departments. Also consulted on the transference of requirements and testing criteria to Global Product Development Management.Documentation Development: Consulted on creating documentation (manuals, help files, release notes, and implementation guides) used to define the installation, maintenance, operations, and use of Cincom's products.Developed Product Knowledge Transfer: Consulted on confirming with the Global Process Manager that developed and released products meet the specifications indicated.Project Management: Consulted on managing product offerings that do not yet exist.Software Architecture: Responsible for defining the structure of the proposed software product to achieve an optimal outcome.Software Design: Responsible for taking the requirements from GPM specifications to the level needed to allow a programmer to develop software.Software Coding: Responsible for the management and generation of code that indicates how the computer will operate to meet GPM Specifications.Software Testing: Responsible for the execution of the testing process to meet or exceed the GPM specifications.Software Release Management: Responsible for managing all materials including code and documentation so that Cincom can meet contractual obligations to clients.Legal IP Management: Consulted on preparing, filing, and managing all outside counsel on domestic and foreign patents, copyrights and trademarks.Essential Functional ResponsibilitiesCommunicate ideas to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources.Responsible for creating 'best of breed' solutions.Responsible for defining and validating product design.Manage the complete software solution project lifecycle sequence.Aid in the development and delivery of solutions.Designs, modifies, develops, and implements a variety of software solutions.Supports and troubleshoots application software related problems.Technical SkillsJavascript - Bootstrap, Angular JS, JQueryMVC.NET FrameworkC#ASP.netMS SQL ServerVisual StudioAzure DevOPS
