Job description
Who are we?
Thames Water is the UK's largest water and wastewater company. We make a daily difference to our 15 million customers by supplying 2.6 billion litres of water through 32,000 km's of pipes, to keep taps flowing and toilets flushing. We are an essential service and have operated throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
At Thames Water, every one of our actions, big and small, matters every day. Water is essential to daily life, and that means our business is always open.
What you will be doing
As the Analyst for the Delivery Unit, you will be working in partnership with members of our leadership team including our Execs and report to the Delivery Unit Director within the CEO office. This newly established team supports Thames Water in meeting its strategic objectives using cross-functional initiatives to ensure the delivery of the CEO's enterprise-wide Turnaround Plan.
You will be providing key stakeholders with visibility of the Turnaround Plan progress, risks and issues, maintaining the Turnaround Plan dashboard and providing Board and Executive level progress reports.
You will be establishing and tracking metrics to monitor and evidence value delivery, continually improving our reporting process to meet the needs of our stakeholders.
As a critical member of this team, you will be managing competing priorities and driving delivery. You will provide clear and audience-appropriate communications and progress reports, managing and mitigating initiative dependencies, issues and risks - translating complex concepts to simple, transparent and measurable plans with milestones and clearly defined accountabilities.
We're looking for you to:
The successful candidate will help shape the future of our business to the benefit of our customers. For the right person, this is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career by testing your skills, supporting colleagues and applying your knowledge to champion best practice. This is a rare opening in our business where you will spend 18 months adding value to this team and then moving into a new area to continue your career journey with us, utilising the knowledge and expertise gained to benefit a new business area.
Our competitive salary package includes an excellent contributory pension, 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service and a wider benefits scheme.
Thames Water is a unique, rewarding and diverse place to work. If you join our team, you'll enjoy fast-tracked career opportunities, flexible working arrangements and unparalleled benefits. We're also proud to be an equal opportunity employer, Stonewall Diversity Champion and Disability Confident Leader and we are a Times Top 50 Employer for Women.
