What you will be doing
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Waste Treatment, the Finance Business Partner provides essential financial support and partnering activities to senior Operational stakeholders and their direct reports. A varied position that will encompass month-end reporting across both operating expenses (P&L) and balance sheet, as well as mid-month performance reporting. There will be a requirement for the role to present complex financial performance in a manner that engages and drives effective change within various stakeholders.

We're looking for you to:
- Developing and managing the relationship with the senior managers around the business will be key to supporting the achievement of objectives. In this technically demanding role, you will maintain a high level of performance and implement significant process improvements.
- Provide financial support and guidance to senior management and deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders
- Business partnering with senior managers and stakeholders to ensure all variances to planned spending are understood and communicated
- Provide financial expertise to support decision-making
- Production of financial performance reports which include succinct and informative variance commentary
- Leading monthly performance meetings which aim to provide insights to the senior managers on the key drivers of their costs
- Production of quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting submissions. Including the balance sheet. Support the senior managers to allocate and meet the challenge to ensure they deliver the top-down forecast and budget numbers
- We are looking for a confident and self-motivated qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with exceptional communication skills. Previous exposure to an analytical/management accounts role is essential, as is advanced Excel skills
