Right now, we're currently searching for an IT Support Engineer to provide both remote and onsite support in our Reading area, supporting a wide range of clients and sites that require 1st and 2nd line support, from laptop fixes, network outages, faulty hardware to Window Server support.

Your new role
You will be managing the support requests from various organisations via the phone and our advanced ticketing system. You will support clients both remotely and onsite, often travelling to site to offer support and guidance to organisations across The Thames Valley (all travel and food expenses are covered). You will be responsible for planning and organising your day and prioritising calls and work plans to ensure the urgent requests are met in a timely and efficient manner. You will be responsible for visiting the different organisations (all local) and fixing varying infrastructure issues on site, however small or large. We are looking for someone with experience outside of a ticketing system, who will be hands on and able to think on their feet to solve an issue quickly.

What you'll need to succeed
Your background of IT support in a diverse and changing environment will lead to your success. You won't mind to provide local onsite support (which is fully expensed) and your alignment with ITIL and an approach of continually improving, will help you greatly in your role as you undertake technical support. Your technical expertise will cover Wintel based infrastructure including strong knowledge of Windows Server 2010\/2012\/2018, O365, Active Directory, MS Exchange and basic Networking.
