Job description
I have an excellent opportunity to join a highly established, global company working to provide clinical research solutions across full lifecycle of biopharmaceutical and medical device products. This role requires someone to establish supporting systems/platforms, outline policies on finance, legal and other supporting functions to support the growth of the business in the EMEA region.
Job title: Regional HR Manager
Reports to: Group Regional Head of Europe
Location: Reading
WFH: Fully remote
Salary: 40,000 - 80,000
Benefits: 5 10% bonus
*Main responsibilities*
Finance Management
Responsible for daily activities related to finance, accounting of EMEA; Local and Intercompany Account Payable control with exchange gain or loss variation, corporate Income Tax s monthly preparation, interact with local bank or other financial institute, payment of monthly payroll
Establish financial accounting system and monitoring system for respective countries in EMEA in accordance with the local regulation, rules and guideline of corporate; define the relevant policies and make it updated.
Work with corporate on annual plannning/ budgeting for EMEA based on EMEA business strategy and model, covering business forecast, expense, headcount planning etc., monitor and control the expense.
Assist in tax planning and provide advise based on local regulation and practice.
Participate in all of investment projects and conduct feasibility assessment
Legal Affairs & Compliance
With the support and guidance of corporate legal team, provide legal support for EMEA's operation and management, identify the legal risks in the operation activities, improve the risk prevention and control process.
Assist in legal affairs related to the investment including but not limited to reviewing investment agreements, conducting legal related due diligence, etc.
Assist in major or complex legal litigation disputes, administrative penalties and other dispute management in EMEA, and formulate prevention and improvement measures.
Assist in establishing compliance system, supervising and inspecting the legal compliance of the company's business management process.
Monitor the changes of laws, regulations and guidelines in EMEA, evaluate the impacts, and provide feasible suggestions for improving the internal management system and business processes.
HR Management
Involve in the design of organization structure, develop specific hiring plan; Attract local talents by enhancing employer branding through effective measures, and assist in building up team for respective countries at regional level.
Responsible for the establishment, improvement, implementation and revision of various human resources policies for respective countries at regional level.
Support business team on annual performance management including goal setting, on-going coaching, and appraisal of all the relevant overseas companies.
Enhance the communication with local employees, appropriately manage labor relations and employee relations
Assist in due diligence and evaluation of organizational capability, leadership and culture of the target company locate at respective region.
Liaison with headquarter to understand the HR strategy and plan of corporate and ensure local inputs has been reflected.
Support on other HR affairs deemed necessary.
Other Requirements
Provide support on administrative matters including but not limited to office set up (if needed), vendor
management, asset management etc
Support corporate on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Management, responsible for EMEA ESG management affairs, ensure that its compliance with regulatory agencies compliance requirements, and improve ESG performance.
