The Role

Here at Shinfield Vets we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, who is a team player and happy to provide clinical support to the rest of the team.
We would be happy for you to jump straight into a Clinical Lead role or to start as a Senior Vet and progress from there. We can provide leadership training and HR support.

The rota is a 4-day week FTE, and the standard shifts are from 8am-6pm or 9am-7pm, with 1:4 weekends. However, part-time and flexible shift patterns are available to fit around other commitments. Each consultation is 15 minutes, double when needed. We have excellent diary management: there is allocated admin time, some appointments are released on the day and we limit the vaccines per day. No out of hours! The Salary will range from £45,000-£60,000.

About Us

We are an RCVS accredited Small Animal practice with an excellent reputation based in Reading, a vibrant city surrounded by beautiful countryside. We currently have 3 vets (you would be an addition), 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, an outstanding client care team and practice manager.
We have amazing facilities at Shinfield Vets, they include: digital dental x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, video endoscopy, Idexx lab, ECGs, slit lamp, iCare tonometry, HDO.

We have a diverse range of clients -we work for the local CP, RSPCA welfare assist, RSPCA inspectors, PDSA and Blue Cross; as well as having many fully insured clients
