This 11 to 16 Specialist School in Slough for students with a primary diagnosis of Autism and a secondary SEN diagnosis, are looking for a Graduate (Psychology preferred, but other subjects considered!) to join their team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. Recent, relevant experience will also be considered! The SEN Specialist Academy School is based in Maidenhead in Berkshire and this is a full-time long-term opportunity. The SEN children are aged between 11 and 18 and will benefit from compassionate, empathetic and motivating individuals who are passionate about supporting more vulnerable members within our community. The school employs a positive therapeutic approach, meaning the children engage in many activities outside of traditional lessons. Experience working with children or adults with Special Needs would be highly desirable for this role!

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for any Psychology Graduate to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at school. You will be mentored and have the opportunity to shadow sessions and learn from them. Plus you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This ASD Specialist School are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for a SEN TA who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. The SEN children in this school require a teaching assistant who understands their complex needs and is open-minded and up for a challenge. The children have varying needs although Autism is the main provision. Suitable experience can include working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting, even on a personal level such as with family. Level 3 qualifications+ are also required and a Degree would be most desirable.
