Job description

We are delighted to be working closely with a leading family owned healthcare provider. I'm looking to appoint a Senior Nurse for of their homes in Slough, Berkshire.

Role: Senior Nurse (RGN/RMN)

Hours: Full time

Salary: £48k per annum (based on 4 shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Nurse, you will support the Home Manager to ensure the highest achievable standards of care are delivered to residents whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures and that all nursing and care practices are evidence based and reflect current trends.

- Ensuring clinical excellence in the home and leading a team of care staff to ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care
- Promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care
- Reducing Health & Safety risks and keep up to date with all current regulatory standards
- Displaying exceptional people management skills by creating and leading a team of willing and dedicated staff identifying strengths and weaknesses within
- Developing staff through supervision and mentorship
- Providing and keeping up to date with relevant training
- Work 'on the floor' as a nurse to lead by example and monitor staff in the Home on a daily basis, reporting findings to Home Manager

Experience Required

- Right to live and work in the UK
- Qualification as Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Hold valid and current NMC registration and pin number
- People leadership experience
- Knowledge of the care standards and other regulatory bodies (e.g. CQC)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Be able to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and key professionals
- A passion for elderly care and clinical excellence
- Experience providing nursing care in an elderly setting is desirable, but not essential
