Job description

*To provide high quality, cost effective planned reactive maintenance and repair service to all plumbing system across the Prior's Court Estate and surrounding owned properties. *

*About Prior's Court*

Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. We are situated on 50 acres of parkland with various facilities including accommodation for our young people, a school with a wide range of facilities and offices

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates team at Prior's Court to support the school as a Qualified Plumber. The responsibilities are varied and would provide the opportunity to work across a commercial and domestic setting. To carry out all plumbing repairs and in-house plumbing projects to a high level and standard, conforming to the current Gas safe, Oftec and British standard Regulations. Working to an agreed programme of rolling upgrades for domestic and commercial plant across the Estate, liaising with the Estates Manager, to ensure all condition reports are provided. Liaising with various M&E contractors to ensure works are completed in agreed timelines. This position will also include supporting the rest of the team across the estate so it is important that you enjoy a varied workload.

This position is a 38 hour working week across 2 shift patterns (see below) and would include supporting the Estates Supervisor with 24/7 on call cover and coordination within the team/contractors.

6am-4pm

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

*Who we are looking for *

Experience of plumbing, contractor management experience and plumbing qualifications. Valid driving licence required

Minimum NVQ Level 2 or SVQ Level 3 Plumbing qualification.
