Advanced Clinical Support Worker (Band 4) in Berkshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time professional to be part of a forward thinking and positive multi-disciplinary team supporting people experiencing a First Episode Psychosis (FEP) or assessed as having an At Risk Mental State (ARMS).

We are looking for an Advanced Clinical Support Worker to work with us and support the provision of the highest quality care for our service users, in line with the NICE Quality Standards and NHS England Access to Waiting Time Standards. You will need to have a real commitment to and understanding of the principles of early intervention and this client group.

The post is for a full-time worker, which will be based in the across Berkshire. We operate a 9am -5pm service with some flexibility required in order to engage with our service users.

About the Job

To be responsible, under the guidance of a qualified professional, for delivering care to clients under the EIP Service. They will support nursing staff and other members of the MDT in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of effective, evidenced based care, ensuring the care is holistic and that and standards of care are enhanced. To provide quality, care and support which enables clients to be supported with a recovery focus throughout their EIP journey, whilst promoting independence and protecting choice, dignity, privacy and safety. [It is not possible to include all tasks so include the most important and most frequent]
To contribute to the clinical management of designated service users, in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Supporting and working collaboratively with the clients care coordinator in reviewing and updating risk assessments and risk management and care-plans with clients and their carer's within their level of competency under the supervision of a registered professional.
To take an active lead and promote recovery with the patient journey from referral to transfer of care to appropriate service/team/GP

The "must haves" for you to be considered for this role:

We may require you to work at or from a different work base or location from time to time, to meet service demands and deliver an operational service. Given the geographical nature of the Trust, you may be required to travel between Trust premises as part of your role. We also may need to change your work base on a permanent basis and if this is the case, we will consult with you in line with our policies and procedures.
You'll be expected to attend and contribute to staff meetings and forums, supervision sessions, training courses, seminars and workshops, all of which will contribute to the development and enhancement of our current working practices
To understand the range of interventions available, the evidence base and potential outcomes for clients and apply appropriate Degree: for example, BSc in a health-related subject. Good general educational qualifications including English and be IT literate.
