Your new role
This client is looking for a full-time Network Engineer to join the IT Team where you will become part of a team managing the Councils IT Infrastructure. This role reports to the Head of Infrastructure and would involve working in a fast- paced and demanding environment, so it is important that you are well organised and resilient.

This role would involve

* Working with a variety of network vendor technologies
* Assisting the infrastructure team with Firewall operations.
* Having the ability to co-ordinate and manage 3rd parties
* Use of Adaptive thinking and ability to work independently.
* Running of VPN configuration and IP Security platforms

What you'll need to succeed

* Demonstrate experience working with Cisco or relevant Cisco qualification
* Vast experience of using Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and to be able to communicate across all levels in the business.

* Knowledge of WAN or other wireless technologies

* Ability to work in a fast pace environment
