Accounts Assistant,

Hays are delighted to be working with an importing business based in Birmingham, who have created a new role within their finance team following on from a recent restructure of the team. This role would suit a candidate looking for some exposure in accounts, or a more experienced candidate looking for a stable role within a very successful organisation with a strong financial performance over the pandemic.

Your new role
This role will sit within a finance team made up of 3 people, and is a newly created role off the back of a restructure of the finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Credit Control- chasing debts, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure debt is collected.
* Purchase Ledger- processing goods invoices, working with multi-currency invoices
* Monthly Payroll
* Managing company bank accounts

What you'll need to succeed
This role would either suit someone with some transactional finance experience who is looking to gain some more exposure and learn from their next role, or someone more experienced in Accounts Assistant roles who has covered the above responsibilities in more depth and is looking for a stable role where they can be part of a successful and friendly finance team. This role is full-time and office-based, so would suit someone within a commutable distance of B11 in Birmingham.
