Job description

This firm, which recently won a prominent award at the East of England dealmakers awards, covers a broad range of work types including valuation, business sales, business purchases and litigation support. They have a great client portfolio dealing in varying sectors, and with sizes ranging from large corporates to substantial family owned businesses. Advising business owners looking to buy sell or raise finance, as well as being retained by funders looking to invest or lend, deal values can vary from £500k to £50m.

They have also recently undergone a modernisation as a firm, with a new Cambridge office to be revealed soon after the successful opening of a new head office in Ipswich.

Job Description
Key duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assistance on corporate finance transactions and financial due diligence.
  • Assistance on forensic accounting assignments.
  • Taking on technical work whilst applying technical expertise.
  • Plan, supervise, and review the work of more junior staff.
  • Ensure technical excellence.
  • Assist with internal compliance for areas such as anti-money laundering and client control.
  • Produce and provide copy/statistics on CFF activity for quarterly CFF Newsletter for internal circulation.
  • Promote the firm through involvement with seminars and other networking activities.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will;
  • Be either fully ICAEW/ACCA newly qualified, or within the last year of their studies.
  • Have recent experience gained in a UK practice environment (Corporate finance/forensic accounting experience preferred but not essential).
  • Have a pro-active 'can do' attitude.
  • Have exemplary levels of communication, technical accounting, and report writing skills.
  • Have a keen and enquiring mind.
  • Be IT proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Have a flexible working approach.
  • Have a full, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
