The Company
Gilbert Meher are working on behalf of a much-valued client to appoint a Service Manager. Our client has a long history in child protection and values a model of high-quality therapeutic childcare, always putting children first, respecting them with a positive regard, and encouraging them to build safe and appropriate attachments with others. The Role
The Regional Manager is responsible for the provision of leadership, direction and regular management support in all aspects of the operations function to Service Managers within their region with a focus on the quality, standards, operations and financial performance of the region.
The Regional Manager monitors standards of Service Managers' performance, dealing appropriately with any shortcomings, and provide opportunities for them to comply with educational and training requirements. The Regional Manager is wholly responsible for ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the home. As this is a vital role in the lives of children and young people, it requires an active and long term commitment.

The Candidate
The Regional Manager is responsible for delivering childcare that is focused on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. Consequently, they are expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, and facilitation of care focused training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home. For availability reasons, the candidate must be within an hour of both Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
