As a Logistics Coordinator specialising in our Exporting, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality service to customers to provide regular updates on their shipments. Using your knowledge of the freight forwarding & logistics business and market knowledge, you will guide and advise clients to the most suitable solution. You will also work closely with a number of internal teams and stakeholders to resolve any potential issues.

Duties -

* Organise and coordinate all biological substances shipments to or from Huntingdon and Eye sites, including radioactive biological substances and occasionally dangerous goods shipments.
* Responsible for preparation and submission of applications for all import and export licenses for Non-EU countries with UK Animal Health Authorities and where necessary US FDA and F&W Import Authorities.
* Ensure close liaison with operational members of courier services.
* Support end users in determining the correct customs clearance information.
* Issue Customs clearance instructions to couriers for UK imports.
* Liaise between the end users on various UK sites and the courier to resolve discrepancies and queries preventing the clearance of an import.
* Obtain all of the relevant import documents for all imports.
* Perform all month end checks as described in the Import SOP and report discrepancies to management.
* Manage the Logistics Email Inbox
* Ensure appropriate procedures are followed so quality, scientific integrity and regulatory compliance is maintained.
* Comply with UK and international GLP, GMP and GCP regulations.
* Comply with all safety directives, department safety procedures and ensure safe working practices in accordance with HASAWA and COSHH.
* Report any difficulty, uncertainty or unexpected finding to the Senior Logistics Coordinator.
* The Logistics coordinator will fulfil any other duties within their competence and experience, which may be required by the Company.
Education/Qualifications:

* Working towards or already possesses a qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain in general
* ADR trained
* DGSA is preferable
* IATA qualificiation is preferred

* Logistics experience (Exports, Imports, in general experienced in the movement of materials via road/air/sea freight)
