We are looking to recruit Relief Support Worker for ourDomiciliary Care, Yaxley. Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep ins, weekends, and bank holidays.Flexibility is a must as you will need to be available to work across various shifts. This rolewill notinvolve any overnight working!

Do you want to make a positive difference to people's lives?Our Yaxley Community Team support adults with learning disabilities to access the community, maintain their homes, and just live a normal and active life. Some days this might involve, for example, doing food shopping or banking, and on other days there may be trips out to the cinema, seeing new places, or just visiting friends. The person you support may have their own goals/ambitions and just need a little help to achieve these. As you are likely to support more than one person a day, we are seeking drivers with access to a vehicle they can use for work.

The role of a Relief Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking with a positive can-do attitude.

What does a Relief Support Worker do?

As a Relief Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.

- Supporting people to live independently - budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.

- Excellent communication skills/relationship building - supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.

- Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
