Hours - 35 hours per week - Term Time (39 weeks worked)

Salary - £17,114.41 (Grade 2, point 7 with annual increments) - Salary already pro-rated to hours and weeks worked

Location - Inscape House School, Cheadle, Cheshire

We are looking to recruit a Senior Educational Assistant (ICT) within Inscape House School which supports young people with autism between Year 1 and Year 14. We recognise that every child is different. That's why we create individual learning programmes matched with a core team of therapists.

Aim of post

In addition to supporting the general learning and care of pupils across the school, the Senior Educational Assistant (ICT) will provide cover for absent staff, including teachers. The Senior Educational Assistant (ICT) will also assume a lead practitioner and mentoring role for other assistants within the school. They will have some responsibility for ensuring tier one strategies are implemented consistently in the classroom and pupil's therapy targets are transferred and embedded.

Safeguarding children and vulnerable people is a priority for all employees.

We are looking for a Senior Educational Assistant (ICT) with a minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children with autistic spectrum disorders within a school setting.

Do you have a Level 3 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification or a commitment to obtain such qualification within a given timeframe?

Our ideal Senior Educational Assistant should be flexible with the ability to identify, clarify, prioritise and solve problems as they arise.
