Conventional Machinist
Permanent contract, working 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday.

The Role - Conventional Machinist
Reporting to our Machine Shop Cell Leader, as a Conventional Machinist you'll be responsible for the operation of various conventional machine tools for production. Your duties will include:
* Setting and operating various machine tools such as lathe machines, pedestal drills, conventional milling
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Highlighting and communicating issues that may arise and implementing corrective actions that have been issued
* Supporting the Engineering department in the refurbishment / repair / remake of machine parts
* Completing first-off inspection reports
* Ensuring that health, safety, and quality standards are complied with
Our Requirements - Conventional Machinist
* Proven experience as a Conventional Machinist
* Time served recognised apprenticeship
* Ability to set and operate machine tools (e.g. conventional milling, lathe machines, pedestal drills), and work to tolerances of +/-0.05mm (using measuring equipment)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team
The Package
You will be working at our premises located on Sealand Road, on the outskirts of Chester City Centre, and will benefit from:
* Permanent contract, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7am to 4:30pm
* Pay rate of £14.17 per hour, equivalent to £26,526 per annum
* 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

On occasion, shifts may be 5am to 2pm, or 2pm to 11pm, so flexibility to work shifts as / when required is essential.
