Supply Chain Manager - Manufacturing - (North Wales / Cheshire) - Up to £65,000

About the Company

Our client is a global manufacturing business with processing and manufacturing facilities in North Wales and Cheshire. They are now looking to recruit a highly experienced, capable and influential Supply Chain Manager to join their business.

Reporting to the Plant Manager the main remit for this role will be to facilitate and support the complete end to end Supply Chain (Warehouse, logistics, Planning, and Purchasing) activities of the business, ensuring operational needs are met, considering the price, quality and delivery whilst ensuring continuity of supply and best practice.

This role can be based in either North Wales or Cheshire but will require extensive time spent in the North Wales site as this is where the wider supply chain team is based.

Educated to Degree level in a Business or Engineering related Discipline
Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Knowledge of SAP - Highly Desirable
Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
Experience of Supply Chain process and systems development/implementation with the ability to influence and drive cultural change
Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities and the ability to interpret data to provide strategic and tactical solutions
Commercially and financially aware
Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines Supply Chain Manager - Responsibilities

Manage a high performing Supply Chain that is able to meet customer demands, measuring adherence to desired performance targets
Build effective 'operational' relationships both internally, with customers and suppliers
Ensure the right levels of inventory are established, maintained, and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needs
Instill accountability throughout the supporting Supply Chain mitigating risk whilst always striving for cost effective value for money (VFM) solutions
Maintain key relationships and operate closely with the wider corporate supply chain, ensuring the development of a "Connected" supply chain
Ensure functional excellence through best practice, and effective communication.
Work with the team to help provide future Supply Chain strategies and support
Lead and improve plant flow performance
Manage Product Phase In / Phase Out and Obsolescence
Lead and improve supplier performance in terms of Service Level, Lead Time, Lot Size etc.
Establish effective escalation processes, ensuring accountability for responses that are time bound and effective
Actively participate in the site and wider corporate projects, including SAP Implementation and SMART factory About Us
