6 Month Contract

Scope of Service: A Contracting Finance Analyst to join Finance Controlling; Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Analyst will provide accurate and timely financial management information and create reports both internally and externally.

The material cost controlling team is part of Controlling Engineering, Purchase and unit cost, whose function is to control and deliver, as part of a cross functional team, the challenging material cost targets of our products, in conjunction with both customer and technical requirements.

The team is integral to the cost management of all components from pre-concept, through concept, design and development and maturation.

Key Deliverables:
Preparation of accurate and timely Financial management information and reporting both internally and externally including preparation of reports.
Responsible for providing financial data analysis and variances against plan (e.g. budget forecast)
Operation and co-ordination of local planning processes
Identification of risks and opportunities within plans and forecasts, proposing solutions to resolve
Budget holder review, support and challenge including education to ensure process efficiency
Key Skills: The successful contractor will be in a Financial Analyst role working in Production, Purchasing or Engineering environment, with experience of delivering quality financial analytic support to internal and external customers.

Key Skills / Experience:

Knowledge of financial accounting processes and skills, gained through hands on experience (systems, transactional processes) with an understanding of how business processes affect company financials
Demonstrable experience working within a finance environment within manufacturing ideally within the automotive industry
Ability to model data and produce business models and analysis to support decision making
Ability to effectively interface with areas of the business and present complex information to a variety of audiences
