Job Description
We current have a great opportunity for a Process Plant Operator
Working for a leading chemical manufacturing company based in the Ellesmere Port area.
Excellent pay rate
Operating process plant safely and efficiently, maximising yield performance, producing a quality finished product.

Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Process Plant Operations
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the chemical industry or similar related industry
Operate the process according to SOP's
Safely carry out tank to tank transfers
Fork Lift Truck license holder
Basic product analysis.
Understand the principles of CoSHH relevant to plant operations
Identified basic maintenance skills such as emptying and refilling hot oil system
Demonstrate the good principles of starting and stopping pumps, opening and closing valves etc.
Give the right attention to detail when handling hazardous chemicals.
Specify control measures to reduce risk
Understands basic principles of CGMP
Set up process equipment so that maintenance can be carried out safely.
Monitor the multiple stages of manufacture.
Manage supply and delivery of raw materials and packaging.
Responsible signatory to allow maintenance work to happen on the plant
Area housekeeping
Accurate recording of data and compilation of shift logs and batch sheets.
Inputting of any data to safely and productively operate the process
Ensure bulk raw materials are sampled and presented to analytical.
Loading tankers
Carry out stock check of lab reagents and re-order via Fischer Analytical web site
Create a quality Permit to Work to ensure that all hazards of carrying out maintenance are documented and control measures are in place.
Demonstrate high standards of plant cleanliness
Give attention to detail, apply good written and oral skills
Consult and collaborate with others including effective shift handover.
Ensure raw materials are passed before use on the plant
Understand the risks associated with running a process at high temperature and reduced pressure.
Understand the Basis of Safety (BoS) and mitigation measures to prevent a MATTE or MAH.
When necessary work on plant in all weathers.
Adhere to risk assessed PPE requirements for all stages of the operation.
Carry out in-process testing.
Make decisions during the manufacturing process to ensure product quality meets the agreed specification.
Troubleshoot problems
Understand the quality of analytical results (QA) obtained and seek help where required.
Understand the basic chemistry of the manufacturing process.
Work accurately.
