Pets at Home is the UK leading pet care business, with a vision to be the best pet care business in the world. Operating 452 retail stores, 312 grooming salons and 441 First Opinion vet practices they are proud of their brand reputation which has been established for 30 years and aim to make pet care convenient, affordable, and rewarding for their customers.

As such Pets at Home have appointed Harvey Nash as their Resourcing Partner to support on a recruitment campaign to build out their Architecture Practice. Pets at Home are currently on the search for several experienced Architects at all levels. Architects are essential in helping facilitate this organisation's transformation, realising change and optimising business initiatives. As such, the successful Architects will be pivotal in growing revenue, optimising costs and mitigating risks. The focus for these positions will be to understand and apply existing, new and emerging technologies in order to transform and optimise both business and operating models. Architects will be instrumental in planning, designing, innovating, orchestrating, facilitating, navigating and operationalising the digital enterprise for various business areas including Retail, Vets, Group Functions and Distribution & Supply Chain.

To be successful in this Architecture team you will:

• Be able to balance the long-term goals and short-term implications of individual decisions and organisation goals
• Be clear and concise; using language which is understood by business leaders so that clear translation can be achieved for architectural requirements
• Be innovative; using a consulting manner to drive the organisation's digital business strategies
• A trusted and respected thought leader with the ability to influence, negotiate and persuade business and IT leaders
• Adept at working with stakeholders, and able to challenge in a professional and diplomatic way
• Highly collaborative and supportive of the organisation and of its ideals and strategies
• Highly innovative with aptitude for foresight, systems thinking and design thinking
• Composed in the face of opposition to architectural principles, governance and standards
• Practical in approach to problem solving and decision making
