Cheshire Wildlife Trust has an ambitious goal to see 30% of land in Cheshire managed for nature by 2030. We are a growing organisation with a turnover of £2.5m and a team of 54 staff. We are fleet of foot and achieve impact by securing funding from a range of sources including voluntary donations, grants and primary trading.

We are an independent charity and part of the UK wide federation of Wildlife Trusts. Locally we have 17,000 members, hundreds of volunteers and we influence the protection, management and restoration of thousands of hectares of land each year. To thrive at Cheshire Wildlife Trust you will need to be passionate about nature and share our vision to bring wildlife back.

We are looking for more than just an accountant. You will need to be a fully qualified finance professional that can also take a broad strategic view. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, shaping and developing the organisation whilst also being able to get hands on and delve into the detail to support the wider team. You are likely to have several years' experience behind you managing business and finance operations within the third sector or SME. We are looking for someone dynamic and approachable with a high level of integrity and attention to detail to lead our finance team. In return you will have a highly varied role covering everything from day-to-day management accounts and cash flow forecasting to end of year accounting, financial planning and with the support of your team, wider business management such as IT, office management and employee benefits management. You will also be working in a friendly and relaxed environment with colleagues who love what they do.
