Responsible for
Producing efficient designs for a wide array of access platform products with use of inventor AutoCAD & Nastran systems to the relevant British standards.
KEY INFORMATION
Reason for vacancy - Current member of the Design team is moving on after several years of permanent employment
Contract Permanent
Basic pay £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Shifts Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
Breaks 30-minute lunch break, 2x 15-minute breaks - AM & PM
Overtime As required
Holidays 28 days - inclusive of bank holidays
Facilities Company parking and canteen area on site
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with the fabrications department, office team and direct customers to produce efficient designs to the relevant British standards for both client approval and then onto fabrication stage once approved. The ideal candidate needs to be familiar with working with AutoCAD / Nastran systems. Typically, our client designs and manufactures in Aluminium, Mild Steel and GRP and manufacture a wide variety of client specific solutions.
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Within this role the candidate will be responsible for working directly with the fabrications department manager and customers to provide a suitable solution from initial design stage right through to fabrication drawings and user manuals (if applicable) whilst working to the relevant British Standards.
Our client takes great pride in offering exceptional customer service with a personal approach and therefore the chosen candidate will be required to work closely with the team and clients offering updates on projects, quotations, bill of materials and material sourcing (project specific). Occasionally (project dependent) it may also be required for site surveys and on-site meetings to be held with clients and therefore business travel will also be required.
Shift duration per day 8.5 hours
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
It is essential that the selected candidate carries sound working knowledge of the below CAD software packages:
* Inventor
* AutoCAD
* Nastran
