Quantity Surveyor - North West

Residential and new build

Permanent

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

I am working with a very well-established construction and new build contractor who are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a candidate with strong technical knowledge who can take commercial responsibility for projects that vary in size and budget. The client is willing to look at candidates who are looking to step up to project level or established professionals. As the successful candidate you will be part of an ever-growing team, and be integral in budgeting new projects.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete commercial overview assessments of sub-contract orders, passing comments to the Commercial Manager

• Prepare application and cash flow forecast projections for project durations

• Analyse proposed procurement of project sub-contract packages, ensuring best value

• Draft sub-contract and principal plant orders

• Capture and value all project variations in accordance with the sub-contract terms

• Ensure all costs are accurately recorded on the procurement system and the project buying schedule

• Complete monthly project forecast cost reports and trading reviews

• Prepare and issue commercial monthly project reports

• Complete monthly CVR's for all projects Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 Years' experience in a similar role

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & system databases

• Full clean driving licence

What You have to Offer:

Degree qualified in quantity surveying and have residential and construction experience or other relevant construction related discipline..

Experience of compiling bid winning mini tender responses.

Experience of successfully delivering residential-related projects using the NEC / ECC form of contract. NEC PM Accreditation desirable.

Comfortable communicating with management, clients and stakeholders.

Demonstrable experience in leading commercial teams and regional client accounts.

Has the necessary analytical skills required to make informed, balanced business decisions and reporting findings back to clients, colleagues and stakeholders
