Job description

Job Title: ScientistPosition Summary:The Scientist is part of the Post-Market Support, Technical Operations team within the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD). You will perform non-conforming product and complaint investigations, run real-time product and component stability programs against product specifications and manage PPI projects to improve quality and efficiency.Responsibilities:Perform non-conforming product and complaint investigations.Participate in root cause analysis investigations for out of specifications and out of trend data.Proactively identify and tackle problems, using analytical thinking, technical tools and PPI.Run real-time product and component stability programs against product specifications.Meet and improve key performance indicatorsUse Agile Scrum to plan and prioritise workload.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor of Science (BSc) in biology, biochemistry, genetics or other relevant field and 1+ year(s) of laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, research, or academic environment.Experience:Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or GMP environments.Hands on experience in genetic analysis tools, workflows, and chemistry in qPCR and at least one of these areas: assay formulation, oligos, LCMS, purification, sample prep.Proficiency in MS Office.Technical Operations, Manufacturing or Quality Control is desirable.Strong knowledge and understanding of basic laboratory instrument.Good understanding of data quality concepts and processes.Must be highly collaborative: enjoys working in a diverse team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.About Thermo Fisher Scientific:Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $35 billion.
