Suttons Group are a family run global logistics business who have seen huge growth this past year. We now have a permanent and rare opportunity for a Depot Manager to join our fantastic Technical Services Team based in Widnes.

*The Role*
Your main purpose will be to ensure all activities are carried out in line with Health and Safety legislation and company procedures, deliver the budgeted financial performance of the Workshop and Wash Bay, develop the customer portfolio to increase the volume of third party work in both business units and also ensure the continuous improvement of safety, quality and financial performance.
*Key Accountabilities*
• Lead by example and set the standard in terms of safety, improve the safety culture, and deliver safety performance in line with the improvement plan
• Ensure all procedures are reviewed and updated in line with the company policy
• Full P&L responsibility for the workshop and wash bay
• Produce annual budgets
• Develop the business with both existing and new customers
• Lead and/or contribute to Technical Services projects and initiatives
• Develop a capable emergency response team and process to attend incidents on-site and roadside
• Carry out partnering for performance reviews with all direct reports twice per year
• Provide detailed period performance reports to be presented to Technical Services and the senior team during the BPR (Business Performance Reviews)
• Build and maintain relationship with all workshop and wash bay customers
• Deliver outstanding customer service and engineering excellence to all customers, internal and external
• Conduct investigation and disciplinary meetings in line with the company policy
• Manage attendance in line with company policy
• Ensure workshop and wash bay equipment is inspected and tested in line with current legislation, LOLER etc
• Champion innovation and new ways of working
• Manage external depots against pre-determined KPI's and SLA's
• Hold weekly catch up meeting with all direct reports, monitor the progress of team objectives and offer support and coaching as required
• Engaging with the Workshop and Wash Bay community
*Skills & Experience Required*
• People manager within a similar environment (at least 5 years, preferably 10)
• Commercial awareness and business acumen
• Workshop management
• Project management
• Change management
• Creating budgets and P&L management
• Business development
• IOSH managing safely
• Relevant engineering qualification
Preferred:
• COMAH Experience
• Dangerous goods awareness
• Gas and liquid ISO tank maintenance and repair experience
• NEBOSH general certificate
