We win when our customers win…and that drives everything we do.How You'll Help Us Connect The WorldThe Continuous Improvement Engineer will support Commscope's drive for manufacturing excellence, by working to continuously improve Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Safety (PQCDMS)This person will work closely with colleagues from multiple lines and functions to optimise the manufacturing performance by managing capacity, analysing performance, finding opportunities to improve, facilitating CI activities within the department, and measuring and developing the vital skills and of the team.Responsibilities> Define and implement build processes with consideration to appropriate Health & Safety and Quality standards> Fully understanding all Health and Safety implications for any proposed change, and conduct risk assessments> Determine where efficiencies, waste reduction and optimisation can be made in product flow through production> Reduce Lead times from order entry to customer receipt, and balance capacity across production lines & depts> Proactively utilise both lean and problem solving tools and techniques within the workplace improve performance> Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues escalated by colleagues that require advanced problem solving> Fully understand any production related cost, and support improvements to reduce standard product costs> Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles including Yamazumi and 5S> Develop the Lean skills of the manufacturing teams, from operatives through to managers> Plan and measure of progress of the Lean Programme implementation, via maturity checklists & KPIsQualificationsEssential:A recognised Degree-level qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing related subject (or equivalent professional experience)A Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma or an equivalent CI certification (TPM, WCM)You Will Excite Us If You HaveEssential:Experience in a manufacturing environmentProven experience leading & developing a teamRecent experience of implementing Continuous Improvement techniquesWhy CommScope?It's not very often you get a chance to connect with something extraordinary.
