Job description

Project Engineer - Hygienic Process

Based in South Derbyshire - 6 Month Contract Minimum

£350 - £400 per day - Ltd Company - Outside IR35

This market leading systems integrator is currently on a steep growth curve, having managed to win several major projects in the last few months, they are now currently in a position where they need to expand their project team to ensure that they can deliver the projects on time and to budget. Working on high tech projects across different industries, this is an opportunity to manage the complete project life-cycle in a challenging environment. This role of a Project Engineer will include the following:

Specify a wide range of equipment required for the project including valves, actuators, pumps, pipework, fabrications, vessels, tanks
Performing engineering calculations where required
Go out to tender with suppliers and secure the best quality product for the best price
Manage the design workflow to make sure modelling is accurate
Project planning and managing the suppliers to this plan
May be required to supervise the installation of the system and the sub-contractors who are on site
Lead the technical aspects project from cradle to grave and resolve any issues as they arise
The Project Engineer must possess the following skills & experience:

Previous lifecycle project engineering experience within a hygienic environment such as food, pharmaceutical, healthcare, brewing, distilling, FMCG
Familiarity of working with equipment specification from a P&ID
Able to perform engineering calculations
A strong ability to plan and organise
