Key responsibilities as a Quality Coordinator:

Deputising for the Quality Manager when required
Assisting the Quality Manager to ensure the requirements of the Quality Manual and UKAS Accreditation are met by the company on a day-to-day basis
Reviewing laboratory QC charts ensuring they are accurate and up to date at all times and taking corrective action where necessary
Responsible for lab data in order to perform timely execution and submission of internal and external Analytical Quality Control (AQC)
Supporting the Quality Manager to help design and develop protocols including SOP's
Ensuring changes in test methods, sample requirements, frequency of analysis, sample storage conditions and reporting are reflected in SOPs
Ensuring all documents are correctly controlled, issued, amended, reviewed and withdrawn
Maintaining a register of internal documents and records including test methods, nonconforming work records (NWRs) and customer complaints
Reporting, investigating and taking measures to document and resolve complaints, incidents and failures of service provision via NWRs
Helping to collate data and perform analysis on NWRs to determine the source, frequency and different type of errors found
Responsible for the completion of supplier reviews/questionnaires and keeping registers for suppliers and subcontractors maintained and up to date
Working with the Lab Manager to maintain an inventory and labelling of all items of equipment and ensure records are always up to date
Ideally you will have the following qualifications, skills, experience, and attributes…

Essential:

You're keen to communicate with colleagues and quick to learn.
You'll be qualified to Degree level, ideally in Chemistry or a related scientific subject and have experience working with Microsoft packages especially Excel.
You've experience of working within ISO accredited organisations, preferably a lab environment, and experience of ISO 17025 or 15189 is highly advantageous
