Job description

Manufacturing Team Lead

Company Introduction Our client is a large manufacturing company who is looking for the services of a manufacturing team lead based in their main factory in Fife. You will preferably worked in a high speed manufacturing environment or somewhere similar.

The Role

They are seeking a proactive, high performing Team Leader to look after one of their many fast moving 'lines' and oversee multiple team members on the line - analysing data related to the process and on-going KPIs to identify any down turn in production levels and help with bringing these back the desired outputs - having a high focus on delivering and maintaining operational efficiency, whilst sustaining high levels of quality, employee, engagement and morale.

Key Job Responsibilities

* Lead a designated team, mentor and motivate team members, ensuring individual and team productivity goals are met.
* Act as a communications hub for the team, delivering information in a timely manner.
* Manage, coach, mentor, develop team members to encourage and support a high performance work culture.
* Ensure that all team members are adequately trained, aware of, and comply with Health & Safety procedures.
* Engage and participate in the delivery of all the Business Units KPI's.
* Ensure that Quality standards are achieved and maintained.
* Act as a positive role model for change and continuous improvement. Encourage dialogue and debate in the development of new ideas and put forward suggestions to improve business processes.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S protocol.
* Communicate deadlines and performance to team members.
* Conduct daily Tier one briefings to team members.
* Plan and record team holiday periods.
* Answering team member questions, helping with team member problems and overseeing quality and guideline compliance.
