Job description

We are currently seeking a Planner to join our Chemical Dosing team in Dalgety Bay.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Previous experience in the chemical dosing industry would be ideal. The post holder will be required to work within our planning department and assist our delivery teams planning large M & E jobs in conjunction with the operations, commercial and design teams whilst reporting into the senior management of the Company.

The role will involve the development of logic-driven, cost-loaded programmes for Tender submissions against tight delivery deadlines, creating detailed construction programmes for awarded contracts, incorporating contractor and sub-contractor programmes into programmes where appropriate, monitoring, updating and reporting on the status of programmes for awarded projects, and assisting with keeping projects on track by identifying critical activities and evaluating acceleration measures where appropriate.

The ideal candidate would have:

* Degree or similar technical qualification (e.g. HNC) in Science/Technical-based subject, preferably in Engineering

* Proficient in Programming software packages - Microsoft Project and Primavera P6

* Excellent IT Skills (MS Office - Outlook, Word and Excel in particular)

* Previous experience in same/similar role, experience in preparing and coordinating detailed programmes encompassing design, construction, installation and commissioning.

* Previous use of MS Project, previous use of Primavera, experience in an engineering, manufacturing or construction industry, would be preferred

* Experienced in first principles planning and developing programmes for direct delivery of projects across Civils, Mechanical and Electrical works

* Preferably with experience working within the Water Sector across Clean and Waste Water Treatment
