Job description

Harvey Nash's energy sector client is recruiting a Finance Process Improvement Manager on an initial 12 months contract, inside IR35 at a day rate of between £450 - 500 per day.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development of the Continuous Improvement Programme within the business area. Specifically, this will involve leading the root cause investigation and solution delivery for improvements, associated benefit case within the targeted process and addressing these by collaboratively working with all Process stakeholders.

Essential Skills:

Business Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Finance processes, appropriate legislation, regulations, policy and procedures
  • Excellent organisational, project management and planning skills
  • Excellent understanding of Business Change methodologies (eg Lean, Six Sigma) with accreditation of Green Belt or equivalent and Business Change implementation methodologies

Technical Knowledge

  • Extensive business and CI experience and successful delivery of high-profile projects ideally within an operational, technical, or engineering environment
  • Accountable for renewing and understanding external best practices and changes in technology and ways of working.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to present complex information and recommendations to various audiences
  • Ability to think CUSTOMER, ensuring a balance between both business and customers outcomes
  • Proven track record of delivering large business change projects
  • Proven track record in benefit realisation and tracking
  • Able to monitor progress against targets, and take action to manage stakeholder expectations as appropriate
  • Organisational awareness with ability to operate with confidence and credibility across all functions of the organisation

This organisation is based in Glasgow however the role would be fully remote for the duration of the contract with occasional adhoc travel to other sites across the UK.
