Job description

We're one of the world's leading industrial technology companies, and it's all thanks to our people. They're the reason we've created an open, inclusive and supportive environment where you can do your best work, and feel like you belong.

At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet our planet's vital energy needs. We believe in the transforming potential of technology to protect our planet, secure our world and explore our universe. That's why we're helping lead the way in the transition to a net zero-carbon future for us all.

Join us for a 12-month internship, and you'll find yourself at the heart of the action, working on incredible projects with incredible people - real work with real impact. You'll be welcomed into a friendly, inclusive culture that believes in plenty of opportunities and learning, no matter what level you're at.

What you'll do on the programme

We're one of few organisations on the planet with the scope of technology and the breadth of expertise to tackle the biggest challenges around. And on a 12-month internship with us, you'll get the chance to experience that first-hand.

You'll be aligned to one of our business areas, Civil Aerospace, Defence or Innovation Hub and complete rotational 'gigs', moving across teams and projects gathering experiences. You'll work in innovation and concept development, design, testing, manufacturing or service support for sectors as wide-reaching as Electrical, Defence, IT and Digital & Data. You could see the progress we're making on nuclear powered space travel, all-electric air taxis, or find yourself using data, technology and AI to improve a power station's impact on the environment.

Thanks to a combination of digital learning and on-the-job training, you'll build a wealth of new skills with the help of industry experts. People who are as invested in your success as you are.

What you'll need to be successful

Any STEM degree, with subjects directly related to our work - or a joint honours degree that combines a STEM subject with another like business or economics.

You must be flexible about where you work, and be open to travelling between locations if required.

You'll also need to be as passionate as we are about the world of technology. You'll need to believe in the future of sustainable power, and its potential to change lives for the better. You'll need to be open-minded, curious, collaborative and agile in your approach to solving problems.

This is your chance to gain a fantastic insight into a leading, global business. But it's up to you to make the most of it. If you do well, you could be offered a place on our graduate programme - and build on the experience you've already had.

Feel like you belong

The way we see it, being your best shouldn't come at the expense of being yourself.

At Rolls-Royce, creating an environment where everyone feels heard, respected and valued is crucial to our success. It's a fundamental part of who we are as an organisation. We're taking deliberate action to increase the diversity of our teams through policies and practices that celebrate the thoughts, experiences and qualities which make us unique.

At Rolls-Royce, we recruit interns based on merit, and regardless of age, disability, gender identity or expression, race/colour/nationality/ethnic or national origins, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation.

Assessment Centres will be running from November onwards.
