Health and Safety Warehouse Supervisor, HMP Leyhill based, Full time, temp to perm opportunity

Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with National Delivery Company who provide internal delivery services for HMP Leyhill. HMP Leyhill is a Category D open Male prison based in Gloucestershire.

Your new role
As a Health & Safety Warehouse supervisor you will be required to work across a region from Gloucester up to Bicester. You will be responsible for:
- updating and inputting data into LOGICS such as Accidents, near misses, hazard reports as well as safety talks and training.
- Record and manage SLAM, CAPA and GEMBA records
- Assist in carrying out all accident investigations in line with Business procedures
- Ensure all sites are health and safety compliant with DHL and Inmate inductions
- Assisting and supporting site teams and managers with Health and safety matters
- Liaising with sites and customers on all Health and Safety matters
- Attend Health and Safety contract meetings and committees.
- Carry out regular audits of training matrix's and run refresher sessions if needed
- File accident packs
- Monitoring and updating the risk assessment matrix
- Provide feedback and instruction of Health and Safety matters
- Drive and encourage positive safety behaviours
- Manual handling training
- Provide feedback and Information to regional and contract SHE lead.

Please be aware that you will be working in a prison environment and with Inmates. You will be based out of HMP Leyhill however will be required to travel to multiple sites, therefore Mileage costs and over night stays\/ allowance will be covered.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have Health & Safety and Warehouse experience to a supervisor\/ management level. The Ideal candidate will have IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications. And have a clear focus making customers more successful, shaping direction, driving high performance, developing others and developing self.

All candidates will be subject to interviewing and obtaining full prison security experience.
